My journey

With 40 + years in the creative and commercial world I have had the privilege to earn my living from my passions. During the last 25 years I have been working as a successful business coach, mentor and business adviser with creative and social enterprises.

I also act as an NED for companies and organisations on both a paid and voluntary basis giving oversight and support to boards and decision makers. Clients value my independent problem-solving style and that I will challenge the status quo when needed.

I am an energetic speaker on leadership, branding and ZEN in creative and social enterprises. I have worked with everyone from startups to those with a turnover of up to £30million.

An early pioneer in the social enterprise world, I established myself as a leading adviser on the successful application of business and branding strategies  and leadership to third sector organisations.

I developed a prize winning methodology called the Branding Workshop in 2004 to bring corporate brand strategies to small and medium-sized businesses. And in 2018 I created The Zen of business, a practice to help bring the thinking of Zen to businesses, blending ancient wisdom with current methods, both in business and within the international coaching fraternity.

As a facilitator in the business world I have taken these skills into the area of peace making working to support NGOs. I facilitated two international peace conferences, one based in the Berlin foreign ministry to support the UN 1325 peace accord and another looking at the issues of violence towards women as a result of war.

Despite working commercially for most of my career I have always had a red thread of making and creativity alongside a practise of mindfulness based in Zen traditions. 

In my  creative practice of 40 years, I produce work in response to a variety of situations. I have a love of the landscape as well as a keen interest on the issues of the day, including peace-making, feminist critiques of domesticity and reflections on contemplative traditions. 

I feel that all these aspects of my career and my deep interest in humanity as well as the study of Zen has allowed me to be totally present to my clients and my creative work. I am most grateful to be able to support my clients in any way that I can to help them achieve all they wish for .

I am now moving into change making at a personal level where I offer Somatic coaching and workshops using the Tamalpa Life/Art Process.
